hello. heliopause released a new single - mon peu rimbaud / moment of recognition - at the last black market. it was limited to fifty copies which sold out pretty much straight away. we’re working to get it onto itunes, though. we played a couple of odd shows lately - alex’s house, chris’s house, blackout at auntie annie’s… and the next couple are at the victoria square dome (22 july as part of the trans festival), willowstone festival (27 june) and at the PS2 gallery in belfast.
in other news, niall and jonny will be playing on 14 june as eisberg & resnick (supporting pocahaunted at the menagerie) and guitar dectet are playing june’s two-step at the limelight (17 june). also on the 17th, heliopause are playing in charlie’s coffee shop. last time we played there was one of my favourite ever helioshows. hope to see you there.
finally, apologies to anyone who’s tried and failed to get in touch lately. it turns out that trying to run a business / life from one’s phone (because one’s computer has exploded) is not a viable option. hence website slackness (”we released a single which is sold out…. panda kopanda played a gig and it was good” etc etc). mea culpa.

Hello friends! Firstly, a million thankyous to everyone who’s bought a Panda Kopanda album. Sarah, you’ll get yours when you send me Private Eye 1231!
Eisberg & Resnick played a show at Catalyst Arts Centre at the weekend, with bits of Richard Feynman and T S Eliot talking. It wasn’t as pretentious as it sounds! We want more shows.
Some Helioballs news: new recordings are finished and mixed and jonnyashe is mastering the fuck out of them right now. We should have some for sale at our show at the Black Market on 10 May - see cqaf.com for details. We’re playing later that night in Auntie Annie’s too.
Heliopause are also playing a session on Feile FM on 5 May - some time after 9.30pm I think. What is it, 100.6FM? God, I know nothing.
Finally, thrillingly, Three Tales are playing Auntie Annies as well - on Friday 1 May with the fine but hateful Robyn G Shiels. It should be a lot of fun, in its own way. Ben’s recording some magic new songs too. Life might turn out ok.
thanks to all who came to the guitar dectet show at the group theatre - sorry we kept you waiting so long!

come to this!
no i didn’t. i went to mcdonald’s to get some internet. heliopause played a couple of exciting shows - probably my favourite one we ever did, in common grounds, and the next day in the palm house at botanic gardens with albrecht’s pencil. and the pandas played in alex’s house, with oppenheimer. it was good times.
in celebration of alex, i have made a ringtone for him:
http://furioustradesmen.com/alex/AlexSong.m4a or
http://furioustradesmen.com/alex/AlexSongRingtone.m4r for iPhone.
chris is away to amerikay with the oppenheimers in a few days, and gav-rock’s away to buenos aires, so most likely both those bands will lose all the momentum we so painfully built up this year. ah well. we’re going to the pub tomorrow and we’ll forget all about it. you should come!
you should also come to the FURIOUS TRADESMEN EXTRAVAGANZA OF NOISE, i.e. guitar dectet and “very special guests” at the ulster hall group theatre on march 13. and let’s not forget tracer amc djs, even though i pretty much just put that down as a joke.
